Participant Requirements:

Must be entering 1st – 6th grade as of 2017-2018 School Year

Squads will be divided by Grade level and contingent on number of football teams.

Program Fee:

$150.00 Homewood Residents / $250.00 Non-Homewood Residents

Homewood Jr. Patriots Cheerleadings FAQ’s

  1. What does the registration fee include?
    Cheer uniform and Pom Poms.
  2. Can I purchase a previously worn uniform?
    Uniforms this year (2017) will be different from previous years. One will be provided for the Cheer season and included in the registration costs.
  3. How can I register?
    You can register online at www.homewoodparks.com or at the Homewood Community Center, 1632 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209, between the hours of 8:30am-5:30pm
  4. When is registration?
    Registration for the 2017 cheer season begins April 10th and closes May 12th.
  5. Do you accept late registration?
    All registration forms and fees must be submitted by last day of registration dates.
  6. When is the fitting for the uniforms?
            – Monday, May 15th 6:00pm-8:00pm (or)

            – Thursday, May 18th 6:00pm-8:00pm.
  7. What are the requirements to participate?
    – Must be entering grades 1st thru 6th for the upcoming school year
  8. When and where are practices?
    Practice days, times, and locations are scheduled by each individual squad’s coach. Cheerleaders practice at least 1 day per week until the season starts. You will receive a practice schedule from your coach/team parent.
  9. When are games?
    Games are usually scheduled on weeknights and last approximately 1 hour. The game schedule is provided by the Jefferson-Shelby Youth Football League. The schedule is typically available online by mid-August. The first games of the season are typically the last week of August, first week of September. The last regular season games are typically mid-October with playoff games and championship games following.
  10. Where are games played?
    Cheerleaders will cheer for a minimum of 8 games per season. Four games are “home games” at our home field (Weygand Field on West Oxmoor Road). Four games are “away games” held at another JSYFL team field.
