Dances with Live Music: The Senior Center hosts a dance with live band every month. The spacious auditorium serves as the dance hall, featuring a floating wood floor appropriate for ballroom dance. Odd-numbered months feature an afternoon dance occurring on a Thursday or Friday in the latter half of the month. Even-numbered months feature an evening dance on a Thursday in the latter half of the month. Afternoon dances occur soon after lunch and last a little over an hour (non-member admission: $5), while the evening dances begin at 6:30pm and last 3 hours (members: $5, non-members $10). Refreshments are served. The various bands play an assortment of music for partner dancing and an occasional line dance.
Dance Lessons: Line Dance $5, Ballroom Dance $5, and Tango classes $10. Call the Senior Center for more details.
The Primetime Organization: an independent (rather than municipal) social organization which usually meets at the Senior Center on the 4th Monday. for either entertainment or education and a luncheon. $6 payable to Primetime Organization. Call the center to make a reservation.
Lunch Outing (Coed Event): Monthly lunch trip to a different restaurant each time. Day of the week varies. Bring your pocketbook.
Senior Chorus: Mondays at 1:00pm. Live piano accompaniment. Various genres of music including show tunes, spiritual, patriotic, folk, pop music of the 1930’s-1970’s, as well as more contemporary music.
