Food and beverages are sold on-site and managed by 2 Men and a Pig. They are open for nighttime swims and accept cash, credit, debit and Venmo.

Member Guest Policies +
  • Members may bring one guest per day, per facility.
  • Guest admission is $5 per facility entered, regardless of age.
  • Pool and community center guest registrations and fees are separate each day.
  • Registration must be completed in person by the member with the guest present.
  • Homewood Parks & Recreation may refuse guest privileges because of previous conduct, occupancy levels or program use.

Semi-Private Party — $200
Available only at Central Pool during normal operating hours using the party room.

  • Current pool membership is required.
  • Includes 10 non-member wristbands.
  • Additional wristbands are $5 each, with no more than 30 non-member wristbands total.
  • Parties during operating hours are limited to 30 non-member guests.
  • Everyone entering must be a member or have an admission wristband.
  • Outside food and drinks are allowed; alcohol is prohibited.

Private After-Hours Party
$500 for Homewood residents
$900 for non-Homewood residents
Must be booked at least two weeks in advance.

  • Supervisor approval is required for parties larger than 125 people.
  • Outside food and drinks are allowed; alcohol is prohibited.

Rental procedure: Rentals must be completed in person at the Homewood Community Center during office hours, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Full fees are due with the application. Call 205-332-6701 during office hours to check availability.

Pool Rules +
  • Anyone using the facility does so at their own risk. Homewood Parks & Recreation is not responsible for injuries that may occur while participating in an activity.
  • Homewood Parks & Recreation may refuse access to anyone who violates rules or misuses the facility.
  • No private instruction, organized practices or classes are allowed without Parks & Recreation approval.
  • Do not visit or talk to lifeguards while they are on duty.
  • Please shower before entering the pool.
  • Walk at all times; running is not permitted.
  • Lifeguards may administer a swim test. Weak or non-swimmers will not be allowed in deep water or on diving boards.
  • Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation equipment may be used. Life jackets are available first come, first served for day use.
  • Homewood Parks & Recreation is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Day-use lockers are available.
  • No dunking, pushing, fighting, excessive splashing, abusive language or horseplay.
  • Pools and deck areas will be cleared during inclement weather.
  • Anyone with open wounds, infections, or contagious health conditions may not use the pool.
  • Children younger than 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Hanging on ropes and lane lines is prohibited.
  • Water-play toys may be allowed at the lifeguards’ discretion with proper supervision.
  • Animals are prohibited except service animals.
  • Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs may not use the pool.
  • Food and drinks are limited to designated areas. Cups with ice may be allowed on deck. Glass is prohibited.
  • Smoking is prohibited.
  • Appropriate swim attire is required. Street clothes are not permitted; T-shirts may be allowed at staff discretion.
  • Swim diapers are required for children who are not potty trained.
  • Homewood Parks & Recreation staff have final authority over policies, rules and procedures.
  • Maximum pool occupancy: 600.

Avalanche Water Slide Rules +
  • Riders must be at least 48 inches tall and strong swimmers.
  • Only one person may ride at a time; chains are prohibited.
  • No flotation devices or loose jewelry.
  • No head-first sliding, running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling or stopping in the flume.
  • Keep hands and feet inside the flume at all times.
  • Exit the flume pool promptly after entering the water.
  • Ride lying on your back, feet first only.
  • Follow the flume attendant’s instructions.

Know Before You Go

These are the most important shared rules. Staff retain final authority over safety decisions and facility access.

  • Follow all lifeguard and staff instructions.
  • Walk at all times; running, pushing and horseplay are prohibited.
  • Children younger than 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
  • Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation devices may be used.
  • Pools and deck areas will be cleared during inclement weather.

Water Slide & Splash Pad

Follow posted height, swimming ability and adult-supervision requirements. One rider at a time on the slide, and no climbing or rough play on splash-pad equipment.
