Theme & Judging: We encourage all entries to be in the theme of the parade: “Walking in a Homewood Wonderland.” Each entry will be judged for its theme, originality, personality, & presentation.

Entries Lining up for the Parade
Approximately 5 days prior to the parade all registered entries will be contacted by email and given their assigned staging area, and logistic information for the line-up and parade.

Entry Rules & Regulations
All entries must be registered to participate in the parade. Only a limited number of registration spots (50) are available for the Homewood Christmas Parade.
- No entry may include a person dressed as or representing Santa Claus. The City of Homewood will provide the official Santa for the parade.
- The City of Homewood and Homewood Parks and Recreation Board reserves the right to accept or deny any entry.

Parade Route
The parade will begin at 6:30pm from Homewood Public Library and travel east on Oxmoor Road. Then it will turn left onto 18th Street South, travel under the Christmas Star and then turn right onto 29th Avenue. It will then turn left onto 19th Street, travel past city hall and turn left onto 28th Avenue.

Parade Updates - Day of
Updates for Homewood Christmas Parade:
All updates the day of the event will be made via the Park’s Facebook page. These updates will occur if there are any changes, delays or cancellations due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Parade Features
The parade will feature the lighting of the Homewood Star on 18th Street as the parade enters Downtown Homewood. After the star is lit, the parade continues and then culminates with the lighting of the Christmas tree at city hall plaza.
